Like I said in the “Spoilers” for Night 1 article, I feel pretty confident about my predictions for this year’s WrestleMania that I don’t even need to refer to them as predictions. As Paul Heyman would say, “it’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler!”

Moving along, let’s get right into the WrestleMania Night 2 spoilers!

WWE United States Championship Match:
Riddle vs. Sheamus

I’m going to make an unpopular decision here and say that Sheamus wins this one. Riddle losing here won’t mean much, especially to a former main event talent like Sheamus. This could ignite a great back and forth hard hitting feud, so I think Sheamus winning here could help build a good rivalry here.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match:
Big E. vs. Apollo Crews

A Nigerian Drum match. I sure hope they make something good of this because I don’t see anything good coming of it. I’m guessing Big E retains here, but wouldn’t be surprised if they put the belt on Crews in order to save his new character. I’d like to see E lose and thrust into the main event picture, but I don’t see WWE having him drop the title on the big stage. Maybe at the the next PPV Crews will get the big win.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. TBD

My prediction for the winner of Night 1’s tag team turmoil match was Team Lana. From a storyline perspective, it only makes sense that Lana squares off against Jax/Baszler at the Grandaddy of Em All so the heels can get their comeuppance after months of abuse towards her. I anticipate Lana and Naomi winning this match. Assuming it’s not them, whoever faces Jax/Baszler will take the titles from them.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

This match also has the possibility of stealing the show for the entire weekend. I can’t imagine how amped up these two are. Two real life best friends, both avid wrestling fans their entire lives facing each other at WrestleMania. You can’t write this shit. Sami has been one of the greatest heel workers on TV lately and I fully expect Owens to defeat him. Side note- I expect Kevin Owens to jump off the pirate ship at Raymond James stadium and he will pin Sami after whatever move he pulls off of that.

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley

Asuka has held the title for nearly a year now, and there is no real reason for her to hold onto it anymore. She has not exactly been a prominent piece of Monday Night RAW and it’s time we put that title at the forefront again. Enter Rhea Ripley. After a disappointing defeat last year against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, I definitely see Ripley winning this one and becoming the new champion. I also think Asuka should disappear for a few months and return to Smackdown after an inevitable Superstar Shakeup and become the nasty heel she was in NXT.

Randy Orton vs. The Fiend

I don’t see any way around this one. The Fiend is returning for his first match since late 2020. He can’t not win. Sure it may be by trickery of some sort or even an assist from Alexa Bliss. But he needs to win, and Orton needs some time off after Mania. Orton has been hot lately, but whatever Wyatt does to win will likely be something crazy, and not the kind of thing that Orton can quickly come back from the following Monday Night.

Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Edge

I’m going to sound like a brat when I say this but I can’t get too excited for this one. I’m sure it will be a phenomenal match. But where do we go from here? I’m going with the safe bet, and that’s Edge winning. If I had to guess, he’ll pin Daniel Bryan to keep Reigns strong. But here’s the thing. Reigns has been built so strong that I don’t buy either Edge or Bryan being the ones to topple him from his throne, or better, to remove him from the head of the table. Part of me wants to see Reigns absolutely destroy both of them and retain. But I don’t think that will happen. This is exactly why WWE needs to start working on building up a badass face that can take down Reigns. Because even if he does lose this weekend, it will feel cheap to me.

That’s all for this year’s spoilers! Enjoy WrestleMania weekend!!!!
