WWE WrestleMania 37 Night One Predictions: Double Turn, Bad Bunny, New Champions & A Big Return

We have finally arrived! It’s WrestleMania weekend baby…

Yes, it is predictable and cliche. No, I don’t care. Here are my NIGHT ONE WrestleMania 37 predictions…

Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title is a toss up. I feel a double turn is coming here with these two. Lashley has been more of a face lately, while Drew has been determined to win back his title. Almost heel like? Drew will get the big first entrance of the night, after fans have been away for over 12 months. Lashley has been on a roll, so it may be his turn to shine in 2021. Drew had 2020 to himself. Time will tell if WWE wants to go back to the former champ or ride the new wave of momentum. Heel or face, doesn’t matter. Fans should be jacked up for this one – finally returning to the seats after so long! The entrance for Drew may be his ‘win’ here, not the actual bout. We’ll see.

Bad Bunny and Damian Priest vs. The Miz and John Morrison. I already covered this a few days ago. Find that column. Easy win for the celebrity and friend. As long as Priest gets a spotlight he deserves, I’m good.

No spoilers on the big potential return being teased online. Let’s just say it would receive a HUGE ovation if it happened! Seriously. If you want to know, log onto Twitter. Oh my…

The women’s tag team turmoil thing? This thing is filler personified. Winners get a Womens Tag Team Title match on night two of WrestleMania 37. I suppose Lana and Naomi makes the most sense. Maybe have Lana put Nia through a table Sunday night?

Braun Strowman should crush Shane McMahon inside a steel cage. He SHOULD. Shane has found a way to weasel his way to victory before though. After a big fall off the steel cage, it will be over. Braun smash!

New RAW Tag Team Champs, in a dream world. The New Day are beyond stale, it is not even funny anymore. AJ Styles and Omos are your new champs. We get to finally see what this big giant Omos can do in his debut. I like AJ Styles getting the ‘grand slam’ accolade in WWE. Cool moment for him, even if this is a huge step down from last year wrestling The Undertaker in the WM night one main event. Please new champs?

Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro will be interesting. Probably the match of the night…but who wins? I will go with Cesaro as that is what the story dictates. In terms of star power and getting the Smackdown side of things all set, Rollins makes more sense for a victory. He did lose a big match versus Kevin Owens last year at Mania. Coin flip here if you ask me. I will be cheering for Cesaro, and I believe Tampa Bay will also. He may get some of the biggest cheers of the entire weekend.

You night one main event of WrestleMania 37 is Sasha Banks defending her Smackdown Womens Title against the 2021 Womens Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair. Obviously history in the making here for many reasons. At the end of the day, this is deserved for both. I dig the idea of Drew opening the show and ending it with Bianca Belair becoming your new Smackdown Womens Champion. A lot of meaning behind this, as it will only grow in significance as the years go by. For now, let’s just hope for a great main event. Sasha is taking time off soon I believe, so the end result is clear – this night belongs to Bianca. Can’t wait.

For me rambling about all of this in video form, here it is:

Sunday night will be WrestleMania 37 NIGHT TWO! A card so big it has to be split up over the course of two days. Awesome set reveal already by WWE and fans are back baby! What more could you ask for? Stay tuned for more coverage on ProSportsExtra.com all weekend long…enjoy the show.
