WWE Splits Heavy Machinery in the Draft

Heavy Machinery is one of the WWE’s most popular tag team acts. Current holder of the Money in the Bank contract Otis Dozavic is one of WWE’s most charismatic superstars, while the more serious Tucker Knight evens his goofiness out. Both are very mobile and solid big men in the ring.

The former Yolo County Tag Team Champions have teamed since the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in NXT. They truly broke out as an in-ring combination when they took on Daniel Bryan and Rowan for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Stomping Grounds 2019. Otis won Money in the Bank this year, and as of last night’s draft is officially on SmackDown:

Tucker, on the other hand, did not end up with the same fate. As of this morning’s draft round on Talking Smack, he has been sent to the red brand on Monday nights.

For Otis, it’s time that he focuses on his solo career, but for Tucker who is a very solid hand, he’ll likely get lost in the shuffle unless he somehow ends up with a modern JBL treatment.

Major moves in the draft from last night include the split of the New Day, with the SmackDown Tag Team Championships heading to RAW, meaning that Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford will likely be on the Blue Brand come this Monday. The latter’s wife, Bianca Belair, switched brands. Two time WWE Champion Seth Rollins will be a SmackDown exclusive superstar for the first time in his career. AJ Styles, also a two time WWE Champion, takes his place on RAW. Another former WWE Champion, the Miz, is on RAW now as well alongside tag team partner Johnny Drip Drip (John Morrison). Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik went to SmackDown.
