In November, WWE announced a new documentary series titled “WWE Icons.” Following tonight’s TLC Pay Per View, they aired a preview on the WWE Network. At the end of the preview, it announced that the first episode will air on January 31st, a feature on WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna.

Yokozuna, who won the WWE Championship twice as well as the Tag Championships with Owen Hart, won the Royal Rumble in 1993. He was one of the most athletic big men in WWE history, but unfortunately struggled with his weight. It seems as though that the WWE will go in-depth on that.

Others episode include:

Rob Van Dam: Rob Van Dam is a former WWE Champion and one of the most popular high flyers of all-time. He held both the WWE and ECW Championships simultaneously. It looks like this will go in detail on his road to WWE, including his initial run in ECW.

Davey Boy Smith: In the preview, this heavily focused on his rise and breakup with Tom Billington, better known as the Dynamite Kid, who he teamed with as arguably the greatest tag team of all-time. Davey Boy rose to singles prominence quick, main eventing Summerslam 1992 with brother-in-law Bret Hart. The Hall of Famer is a former European, Hardcore, Tag Team and Intercontinental Champion.

Lex Luger: This one is fascinating. Lex Luger was a Horsemen who went into the WWE and got a monster push following an initial heel run as the Narcissist. The run did not work and now Lex is paralyzed. They look to go into detail on all of this.

Beth Phoenix: The first true female power superstar. The Hall of Famer noted in the preview that her main inspiration is fellow Hall of Famer Ivan Putski. This looks to be extremely informative as they take a “breaking barriers” stance on this episode.
