Headline – One of the better pre-show matches in WrestleMania history was won by The Usos, who retained their titles after Jimmy Uso hit Cesaro with a top-rope diving splash for the win. After the match, Cesaro turned on his teammate, Jack Swagger after hitting him with his finisher, The Neutralizer.

Rating – 3.2 out of 5

  • Singles Match (Winner is Added to Main Event for WWE Championship) – Daniel Bryan defeats Triple H (with Stephanie McMahon)

Headline – This match had the crowd on absolute fire to start the PPV. Both men traded several finishers and signature moves Stephanie would get involved and slap Bryan in the face but Bryan would get the win over “The Game” by drilling HHH with a running knee to the head and pin him for the 3-count. The win would propel Bryan into the main event, later in the evening against Batista and WWE Champion, Randy Orton.

Rating – 4 out of 5

  • 6-Man Tag-Team Match – The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) defeat Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and Kane

Headline – This was another showcase match for The Shield and they would nab a win over 3 big names who are all far past their primes and putting over the younger talent. Decent match.

Rating – 2 out of 5

  • Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal – Cesaro defeats Alberto Del Rio, Big E, Big Show, Brad Maddox, Brodus Clay, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, David Otunga, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Fandango, Goldust, Great Khali, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, R-Truth, Rey Mysterio, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Sin Cara, The Miz, Titus O’Neil, Tyson Kidd, Xavier Woods, Yoshi Tatsu and Zack Ryder

Headline – The inaugural Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was won by Cesaro over 29 other superstars in a very good match with a few great spots. Cesaro dead-lifted Big Show and tossed him clean over the top rope to secure the win.

Rating – 3 out of 5

  • Singles Match – John Cena defeats Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan)

Headline – The burial of Bray Wyatt all started with this match when WWE decided to kill the momentum of one of the biggest up-and-coming stars in Professional Wrestling at the time by having him lose clean to someone who absolutely didn’t need the win and could take a loss with no damage to his aura. It was a terrific match, overall, though.

Rating – 3.5 out of 5

  • Singles Match – Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) defeats The Undertaker

Headline – The Undertaker’s would lose his first match at WrestleMania after being defeated for the past 21 years. It would send shockwaves through the entire world and was one of the biggest moments in WWE history. The pair would exchange a bunch of finishing maneuvers and Lesnar would finally put “The Deadman” away with a vicious F-5 and get the 3-count to send the 75,000+ in attendance into complete silence as everyone was in total shock. The 21-1 graphic would appear on the big-screen as the crowd just sat in complete awe of what they just witnessed.

  • 14-Woman Gauntlet Match, Divas Championship – AJ Lee (C) defeats Aksana, Alicia Fox, Brie Bella, Cameron, Emma, Eva Marie, Layla, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae and Tamina

Headline – This match was dubbed “The Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational” but was really just a proper way to title a match that SmackDown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero designed to have AJ Lee lose the Divas Title…something that Guerrero couldn’t successfully do as AJ would retain her title.

Rating – 1.5 out of 5

  • Triple-Threat Match, WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Daniel Bryan defeats Randy Orton (C) and Batista

Headline – This was an absolutely fantastic match with a ton of emotion when it came to the ending. This one would feature a run-in from Triple H who tried to cost Bryan the match but to no avail as Bryan would duck out of the way of a sledgehammer attack from HHH and Bryan would grab the hammer and drill HHH with it and knock him out of the rest of the match. The ending would culminate with Bryan locking in the “YES! Lock” on Batista, who would eventually tap and the ultimate underdog, Daniel Bryan would be on the top of the company and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
