The Detroit Lions have found their guy in Brad Holmes to be the franchises next general manager. The former director of college scouting for the Los Angeles Rams since 2003, who’s credited in finding the teams multiple pro bowlers like Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley and Jared Goff. Holmes success hasn’t just come in the first round, the Los Angeles Rams haven’t had a first round pick the last five years and still find players like Cooper Kupp in the third round. Below is what Rams general manager Les Snead had to say about the new hire Holmes.

The Detroit Lions need to build through the draft, and Holmes has an eye for talent and that’s exactly what you need in a general manager for a franchise that’s hard to lure free agents too. Detroit Lions owner Shelia Ford is confident Brad Holmes can build through the draft and get the Lions back in the playoffs. The next step is finding the right head coach, her full quote is below.

The Lions hold the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, we’ll see what Holmes decides to do with it.
