Who Will Save Their Own Season?

Spread the love

We have Monday Night Football tonight between the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Football Team.

These two teams will be fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. Washington still has a slight chance at the NFC East but they are really looking at one of those three NFC Wild Card slots.

The Seattle Seahawks are also looking at one of those three NFC Wild Card slots due to the excellent play of the Cardinals and Rams, don’t see a path for them to win that division anymore.

Washington sits at 4-6 and Seattle sits at 3-7. It seems like if Washington wins this game and gives themselves a 3 game winning streak, that would put them in a VERY good spot to collect one of the three wild card spots.

If I had to say, I think this is more of a must win game for Seattle because of their division but because they have a worse record and have not been playing good football at all this season.

PLAYERS TO WATCH TONIGHT: Russell Wilson – Can Wilson regroup this offense and be what they used to be? He has two of the best weapons in football with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. He needs to be able to find those guys and deliver the ball. If he can get in a grove early with Lockett and Metcalf this could end up being a long night for the Washington Football Team defensive back

2. Taylor Heinicke – It’s time Heinicke, we know that you have played very well the past couple weeks and are on a roll but this is THE GAME. Prime-time matchup against the Seattle Seahawks and you COULD be the man. Heinicke needs to stay calm and not force the ball to try to win the game on one play. If he can stay calm, run the offense and make the correct reads, he could be the MAN in Washington for not only this year but years to come.

3. J.D. McKissic – JD has not been getting the ball that much in the past couple games but he has always been a streaky player in this league. This game script has J.D. McKissic written all over it. Seattle has allowed 70 catches for 726 yards to running backs this season, which leads the league. I’m expecting Scott Turner to know that and get J.D. the ball as much as possible at the beginning of the game. Lock McKissic in for a TD tonight.

OFFICIAL PICK:

I will be going with Washington to take advantage of an opportunity tonight and win this game. Things have felt different with this Washington Football Team the past couple weeks and it all starts and ends with Taylor Heinicke. Look for him to understand the opportunity that he has infant of him and to take it and run with it.
