With The Royal Rumble now a couple of weeks in the rear-view mirror, WrestleMania season is finally upon us. First, we have a couple of stops, the first being Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, February 27th & Elimination Chamber just 10 days later, on March 8th. It’s heavily rumored that The Fiend (Universal Champion Bray Wyatt’s alter-ego) will be facing the returning former WCW & Universal Champion, Goldberg in 3 weeks time at Super ShowDown. It’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that The Fiend will be retaining his Universal Championship at the event as well as whoever he faces at Elimination Chamber just over a week later. So, that begs the question…who will finally end the undefeated streak of one of, if not the most intriguing character in modern-WWE history?

Let’s dive in…

It’s widely speculated that The Fiend will be defending his WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36 against the 4-time World Champion, Roman Reigns. While we all fear for the worst & that’ll be where The Fiend loses his first match, I don’t think that’ll happen.

Here’s why…

Since the eery vignettes started in mid-April for Bray’s return, he’s been the most over superstar in all of Wrestling ever since…Fans have absolutely fell in love with the FireFly Funhouse skits, The Fiend’s attacks & the immaculate creativity of the man behind it all…Windham Rotunda who portrays himself on-screen as The Fiend, Bray Wyatt. Vince McMahon has given Windham more creative-control with this character then almost any superstar in recent memory & for good reason…it’s been absolutely terrific, in every aspect. With all that being said, it’s still up to WWE to properly book the attacks, matches, wins & loses for The Fiend & none will be more important then how they book the rumored match between The Fiend & Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, this April. Since The Fiend made his live-television debut in July when he attacked Finn Balor after Bálor had a match on Monday Night Raw, he’s been booked nearly flawless, other then the fiasco with Seth Rollins at the Hell in a Cell event, in October that we won’t dwell on here. He’s beaten Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, The Miz & most-recently, Daniel Bryan in a rematch at the Royal Rumble, just two-weeks ago. He’s been on a roll & the matches have been produced nearly impeccably.

We’ve already spoken about the two events between now & WrestleMania & what will happen at those shows, so let’s get down to the heart of the matter & how The Fiend SHOULD finally be defeated…

Bray Wyatt should defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 to retain his Universal Championship. It’ll give Bray a much-deserved WrestleMania moment that every WWE superstar desires & it’ll give him his most credible win of his career to date. Knocking off the man who’s perceived as the “Golden Boy” to Vince McMahon& WWE officials on the grandest stage of them all in the main event would be enormous for the career of Wyatt.

Next, he should run through the rest of the SmackDown roster in 2020 & remain undefeated & finally have an encounter with The Undertaker at Survivor Series in November…The Undertaker made his debut at Survivor Series & he can “pass the torch“ to the companies new dark entity in The Fiend as The Deadman finally rides off into the sunset.

Finally, at Royal Rumble, come January 2021, enter Velveteen Dream…NXT’s brightest star & one of the most charismatic superstars in WWE history. He’ll win the Men’s Royal Rumble match & as he’s celebrating the biggest win of his career…the lights go out & out comes The Fiend who absolutely demolishes him…the lights go back out & when they come back on, BOTH are gone as the show eerily goes off the air. That writes Dream off TV for a couple of months as The Fiend takes out a couple more opponents before the WrestleMania build-up finally begins in early-March. However in early March is WWE’s annual Elimination Chamber event…The Fiend will retain his Universal title against whomever & after his match…the lights go out…& out comes Velveteen Dream…but before Dream can get any attack in, the lights go back out…& The Fiend is gone as the event goes off the air…the buildup & attacks & story-telling fills up the next few weeks of SmackDown’s & Dream makes the official announcement that he’s challenging The Fiend at WrestleMania, a right he earned by winning the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble Match. WrestleMania 37 culminates from the newly opened, SoFi Football Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Velveteen Dream’s character is loosely based off of Music-legend Prince & he’s the most Hollywood-based character in WWE. Crowning Velveteen Dream the WWE Universal Champion in The City of Angels against a man who hasn’t lost a match under his new identity in almost 2 years, would be the newest coronation of what would then WWE’s new poster boy & face of the company.

Being one of Bray’s biggest fans back to his days in FCW, this is how I personally want his first loss as The Fiend being booked.
