Here we are…another Monday, preparing for another week of Pro Wrestling with Monday Night RAW, tonight, NWA Powerrr, tomorrow evening, IMPACT Wrestling, tomorrow night, AEW & NXT on Wednesday night, WWE Super Showdown, Thursday afternoon & SmackDown, on Friday night. It’s a busy week forsure, so next week’s wrap-up should be a long one…but let’s recap the previous week that was in Pro Wrestling…

WWE & NXT News/Recaps

  • NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Jordan Devlin is dealing with a bit ofa nagging Elbow injur that forced him to cancel his PROGRESS Wrestling appearance, last week & he won’t be in a match, Wednesday night on NXT. He noted that he’ll be fine in a week or 2 with some good ole’ RnR.
  • Former NXT Champion, Johnny Gargano was interviewed by TMZ, over the weekend & said it’s “complete BS” when people call NXT the minor leagues of the WWE. That interview can be found here…(https://youtu.be/YN53jfAscTk)
  • Jeff Hardy was spotted backstage at last Friday’s SmackDown. Hardy was injured a couple of weeks after Wrestlemania 35, last April & was reported to miss anywhere from 6-9 months with a leg injury. His contract was scheduled to expire on March 1, but the company will add on time for the almost 1 year that he’s missed.
  • During a “Symphony of Destruction” match, last Friday on SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura was slammed onto a piano & suffered a pretty nasty cut which required 9 staples to close up the wound. A photo of the cut can be seen below. *GRAPHIC WARNING*

AEW News/Recaps

  • The Young Bucks announced over the weekend on the newest episode of “Being The Elite” that their new book, Young Bucks: Killing the Business from Backyards to the Big Leagues, is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $27.99 & will be released sometime, this Fall. The chapters will alternate between both Jackson brothers. Refer to the tweet below from the brothers’ joint Twitter account for more info.

  • A new teaser hyping the reveal of The Dark Order’s Exalted One was released. The video can be found below.
  • It was reported over the weekend that AEW has offered Jeff Cobb a full-time contract. Cody Rhodes said during his conference call a few weeks ago that they’d love to lock Cobb up to a full-time deal after Cobb agreed to do a few dates to be involved in the Chris Jericho-Jon Moxley feud. Cobb has been working the Indy scene as of late in Ring of Honor & New Japan most recently.
  • Cody Rhodes announced that he suffered a fractured big toe after his insane moonsault off the top of the cage during his Steel Cage match, last week against Wardlow. Cody says he’s on a treatment plan & is cleared for action for Wednesday’s Dynamite episode as well as this Saturday’s AEW Revolution PPV event. A video of the spot can be seen below.

IMPACT/NJPW/ROH News/Recaps

  • IMPACT Wrestling held their “Sacrifice” PPV, last Saturday night. A complete review of the event, from myself, can be found below.

  • ROH World Champion, PCO was recently interview by Wrestling Inc & said due to ROH’s growing budget & resources, you can expect a “very special” entrance for himself at April’s “Supercard” PPV. When asked if it’s hit him that he’s the face of the company heading into the biggest show of the year, PCO said, “Yeah it hits me but I don’t think about it that much. I’m just going through the motions and making the best of what I can control,” said PCO. “I’m trying to have the best match every time I step in the ring. I try to impress the crowd by doing things they probably haven’t seen. I have a unique and particular style that’s very dangerous and scary. It’s just a totally another style.”
  • ROH announced a pair of matches for their “ROH 18th Anniversary” PPV on March 13th. A Dealer’s Choice match pitting Shane Taylor, Kenny King, Tyler Bateman & Dan Maff was announced, the winner of the bout receives a future title shot of their choosing. Also announced for the event was The Briscoes taking on Dalton Castle & Joe Hendry.
