As of this Wednesday (today), I’ll be starting a new weekly column, putting together all of the week’s news in the Pro Wrestling world from WWE, NXT & AEW as well as any other notable happenings in other promotions that may have occurred over the past week.

Let’s get into the week’s news…

WWE (RAW, SmackDown, NXT, Performance Center) News

  • This past Monday (February 17th) RAW drew their biggest rating in 2020. The show drew an average of 2.437 million viewers, while peaking at 2.671 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.337 million viewer number.
  • Last Friday’s Valentine’s Day edition of SmackDown drew an average of 2.482 million viewers which is down from last week’s 2.538 million viewers.
  • WWE announced that the WWE Network will air a documentary on the former developmental territory for the company, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) on Sunday, March 8th @ 10amET, airing a prime-time re-airing of the special, immediately following that same night’s Elimination Chamber PPV.
  • WWE confirmed that MMA Legend, Tito Ortiz has been training at the company’s Performance Center, in Orlando, Florida…the full report, which had can be found here ( https://www.prosportsextra.com/mma-legend-tito-ortiz-training-at-wwe-performance-center-wwe-confirms/ )
  • WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar has been confirmed for the next 2 tapings of Monday Night RAW on February 24th in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada & March 2nd in Brooklyn, New York.
  • Finn Balor has been confirmed to appear at upcoming NXT UK tapings in Coventry on March 6th & March 7th.
  • Bayley is expected to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Naomi at WrestleMania 36, this April, according to media reports.
  • According to PSE’s Brad Shepard, John Bradshaw Layfield is expected to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, WrestleMania weekend, this April
  • The Undertaker is expected to return to Monday Night RAW, March 9th to begin the build for his WrestleMania match, according to PSE’s Brad Shepard.
  • Edge is scheduled to return to TV between March 2nd & 9th to re-hash his feud against Randy Orton, also according to Brad Shepard of PSE.
