We Wish The Lions Kept Travis Fulgham, But Still Happy To See Him Ball Out Regardless

Travis Fulgham has been straight balling out for the Eagles. The Lions cut him this past summer, after drafting him in the sixth round of the 2019 Draft. He has the second highest PFF grade amongst WR’s, with a 90.3, and he’s the first Eagles WR to catch a TD in their first 3 games since T.O. in 2004.

Do I wish Bob Quinn didn’t cut him? Yes, 100%. But, I’m not that mad about it. I’m very happy to see him doing so well, and if anything you can chalk that up as another great draft pick by BQ. He has a very similar skill set to Quintez Cephus, who both the Lions and myself have high hopes for. Fulgham would’ve made more of an impact this year for the Lions than Marvin Jones Jr. so far, there was no way they were going to keep Trav over Marv. Not going to say I predicted Fulgham balling out this early in his career, but I did know he was going to be good:

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should peep Fulgham’s college tape from Old Dominion, it’s awesome.

Also fyi, this is the second former Lions draft pick from the past two years that the Eagles poached from us over the summer, the other being Jason Huntley who we drafted in 2020. Go Fulgham & Go Lions!
