In a meaningless Week 16 game between the Carolina Panthers and the Indianapolis Colts, things got pretty heated in the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Panthers defensive lineman Vernon Butler Jr. was ejected in the first half after he was seen punching Colts tight end Jack Doyle at the end of the play — while Doyle was on the ground.

After hearing the words that he was ‘disqualified’ from the game, Butler fired back with words of his own. Actions and such words including giving Colts fans the middle finger on way back to the Carolina locker room.

A very badly-timed cheap shot for someone looking to keep his job down in Charlotte. Butler’s lucky that it was Colts guard Quentin Nelson that he punched on the ground.
