In the third quarter of Game 1 in the NBA’s Western Conference Semifinals against the Portland Trailblazers, Denver Nuggets guard Gary Harris unleashed a layup that could take basketball fans back a couple decades to when Michael Jordan made his famous shot against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The YouTube video shows the former Michigan State guard racing behind Portland guard C.J. McCollum to receive a pass from Denver center Nikola Jokic, stops his run and fakes the shot with his left hand, turns the ball to his right hand and making it from underneath the basket.
Harris’ insane shot would make it 89-80 Nuggets at that point of the game, and Denver would go on to win Game 1 121-113. Jokic would finish with 37 points in the game.
