I know it was the Jax Jaguars, but I’m still super pumped up about the Lions win this past Sunday. The three blown 14 point leads definitely hurt bad, but I saw a lot of improvement with this recent win and I’m feeling very optimistic. The offensive line has looked great, Amani & Okudah continue to improve, and D’Andre Swift balled out.

I’ve been saying since we drafted him that he reminds me of Kamara-lite. Hock has been fantastic (we should feed him more targets) & Kenny has been ballin as expected since returning from his injury. The offense looked terrific but I think the biggest spotlight of the game was Cory Undlin’s new use of Jarrad Davis as a pass rusher. He didn’t see the field until the 3rd quarter, but he was very effective in his mere 11 snaps and has had PFF grades of over 90 the past two weeks. Check out this great article by Erik Schlitt, who goes into detail about every one of JD’s snaps:

The Lions upcoming schedule is pretty soft, which is another main reason about why I’m so optimistic. The next six match-ups are against the Falcons, Colts, Vikings, Washington, Panthers, and the Texans, which are all winnable games especially the first three. I know a lot of Lions fans want the current regime fired, but let’s stay positive and see if we can go on a nice little run here. If we beat the Falcons next Sunday, we’ll be 3-3 and at .500 for the first time in Patricia’s head coaching tenure.
