Vote For Bryce Harper And Alec Bohm To Start In The MLB All-Star Game

The Philadelphia Phillies are off to a great start with a 46-21 record and hold a 10 game lead over the second place Atlanta Braves.

The Phillies are a deep and talented team. They are one the premier teams in baseball. The Phillies have had deep postseason runs the last two years and look prime for another one.

The Phillies should be well represented in the this year’s All-Star game on July 16. The game will be played at Globe Life Field home of the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers.

Two Phillies position players are worthy of your vote to start in the game. First baseman Bryce Harper and third baseman Alec Bohm both deserve to start for the National League team.

Harper has 15 home runs with 46 RBI and a .282 batting average in 62 games. He was named National League Player of the Month for May.

For the month of May, Harper blasted seven homers and drove in 24 runs in 26 games. He is in his first season as a full-time first baseman and is playing at a Gold Glove level.

Alec Bohm is having the best season of his career. He has a team high 52 RBIs with 6 home runs and a .286 batting average in 66 games.

The 27 year-old Bohm has settled in to the clean up spot in the Phillies batting order, hitting right behind Bryce Harper. He has also shown significant improvement in the field.

The Phillies have five pitchers that are All-Star worthy too, but they are selected by the NL manager. Starting pitchers Zack Wheeler, Ranger Suarez and Aaron Nola are all having a great year. Matt Strahm and Jeff Hoffman out of the bullpen are also very worthy of a spot on the team.

Harper is one of the premier players in all of baseball and one the greatest showman to ever grace an MLB field. His star is at it’s zenith right and the MLB needs to have him on display in Arlington this year.
