One of the record-breaking placekickers in NFL history has decided to hang up his cleats.
Known as “Seabass,” ex-Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks kicker Sebastian Janikowski announced his retirement after 19 seasons in professional football.
Janikowski leaves the gridiron in the top ten all-time in points scored and kicking percentage (80.4%) Back in 2011, he also tied the then-NFL record for farthest made field goal in NFL history at 63 yards.

Janikowski’s 19-year career consists of making the Pro Bowl and All-Pro Second-Team in 2011. He was part of the Raiders team that made their last Super Bowl (XXXVII) appearance in 2002.
Janikowski’s retirement leaves New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as the only active 2000 NFL Draft selection remaining in the league.
