USC will hire Oklahoma’s Lincoln Riley as their next head coach

Lincoln Riley is on the move, and he’s going from one strong program to another.

Riley has informed his staff that he is set to become the next head coach for USC.


The 38-year-old Riley has been one of the hottest young head coaches in football; NFL teams reportedly wanted him, but he remained in Oklahoma to coach the perennial powerhouse school.

Since taking the reigns In 2017, Oklahoma is 55-10 under Riley, including going 10-2 in 2021. USC fired Clay Helton after starting 1-1 back in September.
