Upper Peninsula’s Armageddon on Wheels Still Planning on Being Held For August 1

There are a few events during the summer that are going to be or have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, there is an event that could be happening for this August.

The annual ‘Armageddon on Wheels’ mud/dirt racing event said the event will be held on schedule, according to the event’s post on Facebook, barring any setbacks from the crisis.

As described on their website, the event is a racing show that puts racers from all over to a compete in a figure-eight style race track. The races have included an eight bus race, a gauntlet race, ‘bump-n-run,’ tough trucks, and many more.

The post above said that the group representing Armageddon on Wheels will continue to monitor the the COVID-19 situation and heed advice from health and government officials, on when (and if) it is safe to go forth and sell tickets for the event.

The event is scheduled to go underway on August 1 from the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba.
