We have some very sad news to update you from our recent posts that the pilot involved in Tuesday night’s F-16 Fighter aircraft crash in the Upper Peninsula has been found deceased.
WLUC TV6 stated in their post that the 115th Fighter Wing is not releasing the identity of the pilot until 24 hours after notifying the pilot’s next of kin.

According to reports an F-16 fighter aircraft with live rounds for training has crashed in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The original report by Nate was that a plane went down we’ve learned that it was an F–16 fighter jet.
The crash reportedly happened near Stevens Lake in Delta County.
This happened a little after 9PM on Tuesday night.
Marquette County Central Dispatch confirmed crews are on the scene according to TV6, but they haven’t located the aircraft.
Air Force has units en route to the crash location.

Update: The cause of the crash and the status of the pilot are unknown, the guard said as of 7:30 a.m. Wednesday as search efforts by ground, air and water continue.
