The United States Olympic team was announced Sunday and is filled with current MLB free agents and former Major League talent. There has and will never be an active Major League player on a team that is sent to play on the Olympics qualifier, because it happens during the big-league season. Here is the 28-man training camp roster, that will later be shaved to 26.

USA baseball announced that they will reveal the final 26-man roster on May 30th. This 28-man roster features former big leaguers Matt Kemp, Matt Wieters, Homer Bailey, Jon Jay, Edwin Jackson, Todd Frazier, Anthony Gose, and Logan Forsythe. This team also features top prospects, with Matthew Liberatore being the top. He’s not only one of the Cardinals top prospects in the minors, but is ranked the 30th best prospect in all of baseball. The qualifying round is scheduled to start May 31st, with the U.S. opening against Nicaragua. Here is the full schedule:
