Earlier this month, Fortnite superstar Tyler “Ninja” Blevinsmade the jump from Twitch to Mixer, off of a $50 million offer by Microsoft. It’s an effective jump, one that had millions made the switch along with him. So…what happened to his old Twitch account as a result? Well, that company decided to use it to advertise other streamers…including what appears to be an old porn account. And Blevins wasn’t really thrilled about that.
The streaming star recently took to Twitter to talk about his disgust with the move, apologizing about how it was out of his hands and explaining how it was crossing “the line” when it came to its use, and that it should not be used to “promote other streamers and other channels.” You can check out that tweet below.

Indeed, upon checking on that page, it appears that there was a top porn channel in the top ten on that page.
But Twitch has acted quickly upon his request, with thousands of his fans reacting to the complaint, and have now reverted it back to a regular offline page, with no advertisements for other channels. “Ninja” even confirmed as such in a follow-up tweet.
Twitch has now reverted my channel back to how an offline page should look. Thank you.

To follow up on the matter, Twitch CEO Emmett Shear added his own comment on Twitter, which you can see below.
1/ Our community comes to Twitch looking for live content. To help ensure they find great, live channels we’ve been experimenting with showing recommended content across Twitch, including on streamer’s pages that are offline.

Whether this means the company will continue with this practice with other streamers that switch services has yet to be seen. But, for now, it appears that “Ninja”’s account will remain this way.
