As we all know, the Chiefs rely on their passing attack to win ball games for them and that could be hampered if it’s raining. We’ve seen the Chiefs win games in nasty weather before with the most noticeable one being the last season’s home game against the Broncos when Arrowhead Stadium was in a freaking snow globe.

The Chiefs had little problem scoring in that one and the snow paired with the resurgent Chiefs defense was able to stifle the Broncos offense, which had been slowly starting to pick up steam prior to that game. The snow wasn’t a problem for the Chiefs, but they were also playing against a team who wasn’t a playoff contender.

If the rain impacts the passing attack, it won’t hurt the Chiefs as much as it would have last year, as they have a named Clyde Edwards-Helaire who can carry the ball for them in such a situation. The harder it rains, the more the Chiefs will rely on their first round rookie to make plays for them.

While the rain could slow the offense down at first, it shouldn’t take long for the offense to get the hang of things, dust off the rust and start making plays down the field. The weather paired with this being the team’s first bout of action since the Super Bowl is going to mean the offense could get off to a slow start anyway.

Tulsa brings back one of the most productive running back groups in the country.
The team’s returning running back corps has the second-highest career rushing yards (4,541) and rushing touchdowns (51) in the nation.

Only Clemson ranks higher in both categories. For Tulsa, Brooks leads the way with 2,700 career yards and 23 touchdowns. On defense, the Golden Hurricane have a playmaker in linebacker Zaven Collins.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Collins was a second-team American Athletic Conference selection last year after making 97 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks and two pass breakups.
Entering this season, Collins appears on the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, presented to the nation’s outstanding defensive player.

Though this is the first game of the 2020 season for Oklahoma State, they shouldn’t be all that concerned.

Tulsa is projected to be a middling-at-best team in the AAC this season and, one year ago, their defense was beaten pretty badly by offenses not nearly the caliber of the Cowboys’.
Expect Hubbard and Sanders to come out and make a big statement in the season-opener.

The Golden Hurricane may land a couple of shots, even with the experience of the OSU defense but everything is going to come up Pokes as they almost single-handedly hit the over.
In addition to Hubbard and star quarterback Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State has one of the best receivers in the country in Tylan Wallace.

A 6-foot, 190-pound senior from Fort Worth, Texas, Wallace was an All-American and finalist for the Biletnikoff Award in 2018.He ranks third among active FBS players in career receiving yards (2,512) and second in career receiving touchdowns (20) despite missing the final five games of 2019 to injury.
