Shocking news as WWE Hall of Famer Donald J. Trump has announced he is not attending the inauguration of President-elect “Creepy” Joe Biden. The Associated Press is reporting:
President Donald Trump said Friday he won’t attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, undercutting his message a day earlier that he would work to ensure a “smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power” to his successor.
President Trump, who defeated WWE chairman Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XXIII’s “Battle of the Billionaires” fared less well at the polls last November (although some have argued that the election was as predetermined as pro wrestling bouts).
The soon to be former President tweeted:
As of this writing there’s no word what Mr. Trump’s plans are but a return to the golf course or the WWE should not be ruled out.
As for Vice-President Mike Pence attending, the AP article noted:
Vice President Mike Pence was expected to attend the inauguration. Pence spokesman Devin Malley said “Vice President Pence and the Second Lady have yet to make a decision regarding their attendance.”
While this may be the former owner of the USFL’s New Jersey Generals’ last “FU” to “China Joe,” there are still days left for Trump to stick it to Biden.
No word on whether “Sleepy” Joe will continue his hands-on approach of greeting people at the inauguration, despite the ongoing pandemic.
