Earlier today, WWE announced that Drew McIntyre has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been placed in quarantine.

Considering he is the reigning WWE Champion set to wrestle Randy Orton tonight live on RAW and is about to enter a main event program with Bill Goldberg for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, this is a pretty big blow for the red brand. A huge blow to the company period. Things are not helped by the fact that the HUGE NCAA Football Championship Game is tonight. WWE just lost their main star, their champ, their RAW main event match for tonight and any kind of future story lines in the weeks to come.

Big time screwed.

Break glass in case of emergency…

…enter Triple H.

He has often joked that Vince McMahon will only trot him out whenever something bad happens. if there is an injury, a change in plans, or in this case, a positive Covid-19 test result for a big name – boom! Here comes HHH to the rescue. WWE has announced that “The Game” Triple H will return on RAW tonight live on the USA Network at 7pm central time. Well, yeah, central time for me living in Wisconsin. Go Pack Go!

What is he going to do? Like I know. I am sure he will make a few jokes about being in the ThunderDome and try to put on a happy face for the entire situation. My guess? Randy Orton confronts him in the opening segment and we get an impromptu main event between the two. Obviously a massive main event match between the two legends to be given away without any notice for television but hey, gotta do what you gotta do sometimes? Again, that is just my prediction. It may keep some viewers away from watching Alabama vs. Ohio State.

We’ll see. In any event, tonight live on Raw, once again, it is time to pay The Game…
