Tommy Lasorda is one of, if not the greatest manager in baseball history. He managed the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1976 to 1996 and went into Cooperstown immediately upon retirement. He won multiple manager of the year awards as well as two World Series. He went 1599-1439 as Dodger skipper.

He is beloved for his personality and rants full of obscenities, including rants on Dave Kingman and Kurt Bovacque. He has been in a number of television programs, such as Everybody Loves Raymond and Who’s The Boss.

He is currently 93 years old. He is the oldest living person to be enshrined in Cooperstown. In recent years, he’s had a plethora of health issues. Now, he’s having some more.

It’s reported that he’s having problems with his heart. It is also reported that it has nothing to do with an outbreak of COVID-19, which was a big deal in Game 6 of the World Series, Lasorda’s last public appearance. He has a history of heart issues, including a heart attack in ’96.

We wish Lasorda nothing but the best.
