Last season, Tom Brady said “I’m not wearing a blazer to the Super Bowl next year.”

In his first year as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Tom Brady started 7-5 and found himself down 17-0 against the Chiefs in the 1st quarter in Week 12. He lost to the Saints twice. His response? Go 8-0 the rest of the way, including breezing through the Saints, beating eventual MVP Aaron Rodgers and whipping the defending Champion Chiefs 31-9 to win his seventh Super Bowl Championship and first in his first season as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. He is the first player to become Super Bowl MVP with two different franchises. With this victory, Brady has more Super Bowl championships than all 32 franchises in the NFL.

Tom Brady is the oldest quarterback to play in the Super Bowl, yet he still plays as if he’s in his prime. Brady became the first player to ever throw three touchdowns and complete 80% or more of his passes in the first half of a Super Bowl game. He threw for zero picks. Two of the touchdowns connected with tight end Rob Gronkowski, who played his best game of the season, tying them for most quarterback-receiver touchdown combination of any players in NFL history in the Super Bowl. Leonard Fournette and Antonio Brown also recorded touchdowns. The defense played a pivotal role in the second Tampa Bay Championship as well, with Shaquille Barrett recorded two sacks, as well as another from Ndamukong Suh, and Antoine Winfield getting a pick. The league’s top defense held the Chiefs offense to zero touchdowns.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the Super Bowl Champions!
