Tiger Is Back!

Yes, it’s happening, for real this time. Tiger is on his way back to the PGA Tour, sparking excitement for golf fans everywhere, and he made it official via his Twitter account on Monday:

The Hero World Challenge is an unofficial PGA Tour event run by Woods’s foundation at Albany, at a resort in the Bahamas. It’s a no-cut, 18-player event, and it’s also where Woods made a highly anticipated return last year. So good news golf fans; we will get to see Woods play for four days, since he can’t be cut of course.

This is a huge step up of where he was just weeks ago, where he stated that he could “see a scenario where he doesn’t return to competitive golf”. Tiger has been the face of golf for nearly two decades, and even if he’s able to be half of the dominant force he once was, it will be a tremendous boost for golf, and an exciting time for all of us that grew up with arguably the most dominant force in the game.

Last week, Tiger confirmed that he could resume full golf activities, and posted this, with a bonus Star Wars twist as well:

That’s right, the stinger is back, Tiger is back, and the golf world is getting back to normal once again. The Hero World Challenge is November 30th-December 3rd, and Tiger can be viewed on NBC and the Golf channel.
