Thunder Rosa Reveals New Details On Mission Pro Wrestling

NWA Women’s Champion and Tokyo Joshi Pro International Princess Champion Thunder Rosa did a live Q&A on YouTube this evening to give an update on her plans for Mission Pro Wrestling’s first show.

She said they are aiming to have the event sometime in September and it will be held outdoors with proper precautions. Everything depends on the virus pandemic. MPW booker Robyn Reid is beginning to put together a roster and card at the moment. Rosa’s Twisted Sister tag team partner Holidead is one name confirmed so far.

There have been streaming services interested in carrying MPW. Rosa said if it doesn’t air live on one of those outlets it will be available to buy on demand on the MPW website.

The show will take place in Buda, Texas but they may expand to other cities in time.

She said The NWA is fine with her doing her own company and she will be allowed to defend The NWA Women’s Title on MPW shows. She said The NWA is not dead and she is still with them.

She said she is always training and wants to have another MMA fight at some point.

When asked who she would want to hypothetically have on an MPW show from the major pro wrestling companies if she could, she picked Tasha Steelz (Impact Wrestling), Kris Statlander (AEW) and Mickey James (WWE).

Rosa said she doesn’t want to be a stereotypical owner/promoter who ends up always going after the top company title in the main events. She wants to showcase other women and make it a regular place for women to work.
