It is 8 o’clock on a Saturday Night, I’m 18 years old in the prime of my Partying career, and yet I’m sitting home by myself wearing pajamas in a deep pit of depression because I can’t watch superheroes beat the shit out of each other inside of a cage. 25 weeks. That’s enough to build an addiction, and I certainly did. Coastal Carolina vs Liberty and Raiders vs Dolphins isn’t enough for me. I need more. I need fighting.
Two more weeks to go, we can do this, we can do this. Just get some slight blood flow going, maybe hit fightpass and watch some TRT era UFC, top yourself off with some Frankie Edgar highlights, and edge your way into the McGregor fight the next two weeks from now. Like, yeah the two week hiyatus is gonna suck, but at least we come back with McGregor!
On a positive note, this does serve as a great time to reflect on the UFC’s amazing accomplishment of the last few weeks. I mean, 25 straight weekends of fights in the midst of a global pandemic is incredible. From Jacksonville to Vegas to Fight Island, it seems like the sport has actually taken a massive step forward this year. Not only has viewership statistically increased, but I think the in-cage product is the best its ever been. Looking forward to fans coming back in 2021, and another year of growth for the UFC!
