According to Ian Rapoport, the Fins have acquired the talented Kentucky playmaker from the Raiders:

Such weird timing. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a team trade a rookie who they drafted in the 3rd round this soon before the start of the season, or even this soon after drafting him. He hasn’t even played a snap! What’s also shocking is how good Bowden is, which makes me assume that it’d have to maybe be a character issue or something of that nature. Bowden was so explosive at Kentucky and could take it to the house on any play. He was must-see tv anytime the Wildcats were on.

He was a WR who made the switch to QB after the Wildcats lost both their 1st and 2nd string signal callers due to injury. He ended up being a 1st team All-American, 1st team All-SEC, and won the Paul Hornung Award which is given to the best player who plays multiple positions. In the final game of the regular season against Louisville he broke the SEC record for most rushing yards by a QB with 284, and also ran for 4 tuddies to go along with it. He finished the year with 1,468 rushing yards, 13 rushing TD’s, 403 passing yards, 3 passing TD’s, 200 kickoff return yards, and hauled in 30 catches for 348 yards and 1 TD. I’d say that’s pretty versatile lmao. It’s also significant to mention that Kentucky was 6-2 with him at QB. The Fins definitely got a good one, as you can line him up all over the field. Miami is going to be a fun team to watch, especially if Tua ends up starting at some point this year.
