The Pistons keep making moves. After a bust draft night, they stay busy in free agency. The Pistons have signed two bigs already in Jahlil Okafor and Mason Plumlee, two former blue devils. I’m a fan of Plumlee has a player, last season averaging 7.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 62% shooting. He’s a productive player and can be a solid role player.

But this signing doesn’t make sense for the Pistons. They drafted Isaiah Stewart, another big man out of Washington. Then they sign two bigs in the first day of free agency? Doesn’t make sense to me, but hey the Pistons are forming a wall down low. This also means Christian Wood is gone from Detroit. You also have to wonder what this means for Blake Griffin, who has two years left on his contract. More than likely he’s traded soon.

The Pistons are in clear rebuild mode under new general manager, Troy Weaver. He’s making plenty of moves and had one of the best drafts in my opinion, of course time will tell on that. The Pistons have plenty of assets moving forward and will only gain more.
