The NCAA continues to outdo itself. Trevor Lawrence set up a GoFundMe in an effort to help victims of the Coronavirus yesterday and had raised $2,670 before the NCAA shut down the page.

The NCAA said their reasoning for shutting down the effort was because Trevor can’t use his likeness, name, or image for crowd funding.

It would be nice, for once, if the NCAA could just peak their head out of their asses and assess a situation before following the letter of the law. Lawrence isn’t raising money to buy a new car for himself. He’s trying to help those affecting by the pandemic sweeping the globe. If he can use his fame to get thousands of dollars raised to give to those struggling right now, that should be celebrated by the NCAA. They should be singing his praises and promoting that they have such a caring individual in their organization. Wake up one time for me, NCAA.

Based on the NCAA’s track record on these matters
