The Houston Astros Sweep The Oakland Athletics With Ease

The Astros opened the 2021 season with a road trip in Oakland, and they did not disappoint. Houston swept the A’s with ease while scoring 8.75 runs a game this series. Absolutely bonkers numbers. Hopefully this is the start we needed to get us back into the groove of things and claim out a big early divisional lead.

Unbenounced to me, this is the first time the Astros have started 4-0 since 2001. That’s a crazy absurd amount of time when you sit and think about it. Another thing to marvel at is that we’re still whooping up on teams even without cheating… There’s no excuses in us winning now, no more buzzers, no more trash cans. Just good hard baseball being played by one of the best groups in baseball.

The team looked lights out. They looked as if they had a chip on their shoulder and noone exemplifies that character trait more than Alex Bregman.

While it may just be one series and we have historically owned the Athletics it’s always great to get your best bat hot, and hot early. Dude’s leading the team in BA bolstering a .500 which is just ABSURD. Even outside of Bregman looks nice. Kyle Tucker has 7 RBI’s and the pitching staff looks to have a lot less questions than it did during this offseason.

I mean hell even Altuve seems to be back into midseason form. His bat is still struggling but it’s these kind of hustle plays that help make up where one slacks.

All in all it was a great start to the season but we’ve got 158 more games to go. #BangTheCans
