There will be 78 players in the field, competing for an opportunity to win in the PGA Tour’s new season and take home the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek.

The CJ Cup at Shadow Creek was supposed to be on one of the worst viewing schedules for those watching in the United States, but it is instead on one of the best.

The event was moved from South Korea to Las Vegas because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the second consecutive week, we get cocktail hour (and a bit of primetime!) golf for the rest of the country.

This week’s field is loaded, too, even without world No. 1 Dustin Johnson who had to withdraw because he tested positive for the coronavirus. Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa are all playing, and they will be joined by Matthew Wolff, Xander Schauffele, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka (for the first time in two months).

How to watch CJ Cup Live:

The 2020 CJ Cup kicks off Thursday at exclusive Shadow Creek in Las Vegas. Here’s what you need to know to watch every round.

How to watch CJ Cup live on TV:

Golf Channel will air the action for the first round of the CJ Cup with three hours of coverage on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel broadcast TV coverage of the tournament is also available through GolfChannel.com and the Golf Channel and NBC Sports apps for various mobile platforms.

McIlroy tees off at 1:40 p.m. ET on Thursday, and he’ll play alongside Si Woo Kim and Sergio Garcia, who is on a hot streak highlighted by his first win since 2017 at the Sanderson Farms.

Brooks Koepka has spent a lot more time away from the game than McIlroy, but not by choice. Duel leg injuries hampered Koepka’s play in 2020 and forced him to hang up his spikes for two months.

Now he’s back and confident as ever. Koepka will start working off the rust at 2:46 p.m. ET, flanked by defending champion Justin Thomas and Sungjae Im.
