With one day away from the first round of 2021 NFL Draft, we have an intriguing last-minute trade.

NFL Update has tweeted via the NFL Network that the Carolina Panthers have traded their sixth-round pick to the Denver Broncos for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, his fifth team in five seasons.

The former University of Louisville star and Pro Bowler is coming off his most successful season since the 2015 season before he suffered an ACL and knee structure injury in 2016.

After signing an original three-year deal with Carolina, his 2020 stats include 3,733 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes, 11 interceptions and five rushing touchdowns.

Bridgewater is expected to bring in some competition for the Broncos offense as he expected to contend with third-year quarterback Drew Lock for the starting job.

Denver also has the No. 9 pick in the Draft and have done most of their off-season work resigning players, and bringing defensive reinforcements such as signing cornerbacks Ronald Darby and 2018 All-Pro Kyle Fuller.
