Teammate: Jose Altuve Did Not Want Jersey Ripped Off After ALCS Game 6 Win Because of ‘Unfinished Tattoo’

Something sounds fishy here.

According to MLB reporter Ken Rosenthal and Sporting News on Twitter, Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa had an interesting explanation for why teammate Jose Altuve did not rip his jersey off after their Game 6 win in last year’s ALCS.

Correa said that the Astros second baseman had an ‘unfinished tattoo’ on his chest/collarbone area that he did not want to show off and said ‘it looked bad.’

Well apparently in a past Instagram picture, it did seem look ‘unfinished.’ Note that the post below was taken back last July.

There hasn’t been any recent images of this tattoo as of yet, but fans on social media right now don’t believe Correa’s excuse.

This sounds rich from a player who was on a team that were part of the sign-stealing scandals that has tainted their World Series and playoff success that was part of the last decade.
