Stanton Gives New Meaning To “Bronx Bombers”

Since their departure to the Bronx in 1913, the New York Yankees have held strong to there nickname of the “Bronx Bombers.”

The Yankees have now brought in the Power-Hitting Slugger in Giancarlo Stanton. Stanton was traded to the Yankees from the Miami Marlins.

In the 2017 season, Stanton was awarded with the NL MVP Award after a career season. Stanton had 59 homeruns which was a career high for Stanton.

Stanton joins an already spectacular power duo in the Bronx. Aaron Judge and Gary Samchez are already hitting Bombs. Judge, the 2017 American League Rookie of the year, hit 52 homeruns. This homerun out break, broke the record for most homeruns by a rookie.

The other part of the duo, Gary Sanchez, had 33 homeruns in the 2017 season.

This power-hitting trio had collected 144 homeruns in the 2017 season.

The addition of Stanton to the Yankees scares any oposing pitcher. The lineup of Judge, Sanchez, and now Stanton, brings Power-Hitting to a whole new meaning.

Some people believe that Marlins GM Derek Jeter was the main source in this trade.

Jeter, the former Yankees’ star Short-Stop was one of the main men behind this trade. People believe that he wanted to help his former team. But.. it does not look like that was the main focus behind it.

“Bronx Bombers” has a whole new meaning to it with the Addition of Stanton. There will be some fireworks in New York next season.
