This week, the pitiful Denver Broncos swap one starting running back to replace their other starting running back. Philip Lindsay is returning from his week 1 injury just as Melvin Gordon gets arrested for Driving Under the Influence and speeding 25 and 39 miles per hour on Tuesday night. This is apparently what happens when you have a forced bye week because of a COVID-19 outbreak.

As a Broncos fan, I was really confused when John Elway signed Gordon as a free agent this past off-season given that Philip Lindsay is a homegrown star from Colorado who has had multiple 1,000 yard seasons. Apparently, Johnny boy has forgotten that there needs to be people who effectively block for these guys if you want them to succeed.

But now, it is clear to me that John Elway is a Seer of Seers, Prognosticators of Prognosticators, and knew before the season started that he would need both running backs in order to have a viable starter throughout the season, regardless of injury or stupidity bordering on being a danger to society.

Good for you, John. The Broncos are 1-3.
