With Mitchell Robinson fracturing his foot against the Bucks last night and missing of the reminder of the season the Knicks need to figure out what they will be doing at their center position.

The Knicks currently now have two centers on the roster; Nerlens Noel, and Taj Gibson. While they have both performed well this season they will need more help to finish the rest of the season strong. With Andre Drummond signing with the Lakers they do not have a lot of options. A name that comes up is DeMarcus Cousins, he still has stuff in the tank and if he his hungry to prove everyone wrong this young Knicks team would be a good fit for him. The Knicks are gritty and play tough every night and they need some versatility out of the center position because while Gibson and Noel have been good this year they do not provide much on the offensive end and Boogie would be able to do just that.

The Knicks do have to open roster spots now so it is almost inevitable that they will add a big man too the roster. The question will become who, and then who else will fill out the remaining spot. I don’t know if Thibs has DeMarcus Cousins on his radar but with the Kenny Payne connection who knows. It certainly is a whole to fill with Robinson being out for the reminder of the season but I am sure they will add someone that will fit the mold of the roster and will be impactful in every way. We will just have to wait and see.
