There has been a lot of speculation over the past couple of months about Russell Wilson’s future with the Seattle Seahawks. At first it was just rumor, but then it got a bit more serious when Adam Schefter reported that Wilson had not necessarily demanded a trade, but indicated he was open to leaving Seattle for greener pastures.

With the NFL Draft around the corner, anything is possible. Assumptions are that Wilson is staying put for now, but if the right opportunity came up, a trade during Draft Day is certainly a possibility.

In the meantime, it was announced that the Seahawks re-signed Wilson’s backup, Geno Smith. While the terms have not been released just yet, speculation is that it is likely just a one year deal.

Seattle went as far as welcoming him back on Twitter earlier today.

Meanwhile, Smith showed his gratitude for continuing to have the opportunity to play in the NFL.

Meanwhile, Seattle is not the only organization who signed a new quarterback. Check out the link below!
