Well, well, well, Ryan Tepera has made himself look like the biggest clown in Chicago.

The Astros embarrassed the White Sox in the windy city beating Chicago 10-1 and eliminating the White Sox from the playoffs. The Astros took both games at home and then proceeded to lose an offensive shootout in game 3 in Chicago. That then led to RP Ryan Tepera making these comments after the win.

So what’s the excuse for the Astros hanging 10 on your dome in at your field with it being a must-win game for the White Sox?

Ryan Tepera is a good relief pitcher but he should have never made those comments after game 3 because that was for sure going to make it back to the Astros clubhouse and gave them more motivation to molly whop you guys next game.

The Astros scandal was terrible to see a team go to that level to cheat in games but we need to move past this. The league handed down their very lenient punishment but this continuation of bringing it up is absurd. During the entire baseball season these are the Astros home/road splits:

Home: .267/.342/..445 with a WRC+ 119 and 427 runs scored.

Away: .268/.336/.444 with a WRC+ 113 and 436 runs scored.

Houston is a better offensive team on the road than at home so the stats make Tepera look more like a clown. Hopefully, next time Tepera doesn’t give the opposing team in a playoff series bulletin board material before playing a must-win game at home.

The Astros will be facing off against the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS with the winner going to the World Series. Houston is an offensive juggernaut and the series coming up against Boston should be a great one.
