News broke this morning that Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor is unlikely to be 100% after he was scratched last week due to chest problems. Rookie Justin Herbert is expected to get the start for the second consecutive week for Los Angeles.

It is now being reported that the Chargers medical staff’s main doctor injected a painkiller into the ribs of Taylor that ended up puncturing Taylor’s lung.

Taylor, 31, is on his fourth NFL squad and was a Pro Bowl with the Bills in 2015. He’s thrown for 9,770 yards with 54 touchdowns (20 interceptions). He has a 61.4 completion percentage and 79.9 passer rating.
