The Miami Dolphins selected their quarterback Tua Tagovailoa from Alabama with the 5th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and already after finishing his rookie season, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that multiple Dolphins have doubts about Tua. Per Salguero, the three players said they hope Tua will improve, but they said that he wasn’t “outstanding” as a rookie only starting in ten games. Recently Chris Grier, who is the general manager for the Miami Dolphins came out with a statement that Tua was their starting quarterback for 2021. One unnamed player came out shortly after saying “I understand what they said. But I don’t understand why”. Pat McAfee reacts to the report below.

The Miami Dolphins didn’t start Tua the entire season, slowly grooming the young quarterback from a hip injury that ended his college career early. The Dolphins hold the fourth overall pick in the 2021 draft, and while most assume they’ll select a wide receiver to help build weapons around him, it’s very possible they move in another direction.
