When the PlayStation Classic launched late last year, it…just wasn’t worth it at the time. The $99 plug-and-play system was beleaguered by a number of problems, like poor emulation, terrible game selection (no Parappa the Rapper?!) and the lack of DualShock controllers. But…at $20…it just might be worth jumping into.

That’s right, Best Buy currently has the system at a fifth of its original price, going for just $20 as part of its current Flash Sale, which is going on now through Tuesday evening. The all in one system comes with two controllers, along with the following games:

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

Again, the emulation…is not the greatest, as some games come across at 50 mhz instead of 60. BUT…it is very hackable, so additional titles can be added. And, let’s be fair, some games, like Metal Gear Solid, Intelligence Qube and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, can be enjoyed on the classic system.

The system can be purchased here. It probably won’t last long for that price, so you may want to pick it up while the deal lasts. Fortunately, you can order it either for delivery or in-store pick-up, as it appears to be in ample supply at most Best Buy stores. For $20, it’s certainly a far better deal than…well, $100.

For that matter, Amazon should be matching this offer shortly. And if you have Amazon’s Visa card, you might be able to snag an additional five percent off the price as well. And don’t forget the free Prime shipping to boot. Watch this page and keep an eye out!

(UPDATE: It’s $20 at Amazon as well!)
