One of the newest names to be linked to the USC head coaching job is current Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

The 49-year-old head coach has been with the Steelers since the 2007 season and isn’t looking to jump ship anytime soon. When Tomlin was asked about the USC head coaching job, Tomlin shot it down hard and emphatically.

Tomlin is currently 3-3 with the Steelers in 2021 and is 148-81-1 in his 14 years as the Steelers head coach with a Super Bowl victory in 2008.

The Steelers are an organization that generally keep their coaches, as they have only had three head coaches since 1969 with Chuck Noll (1969-1991), Bill Cowher (1992-2006) and now Tomlin.

If Tomlin were to ever hit the open market, like Cowher, whose been in coaching rumor circles since 2007, he’d have a ton of interest from the NFL and NCAA.

But for now, Tomlin is staying in Pittsburgh.
