The longtime quarterback of the Eagles Carson Wentz has just recently been moved to the Colts to reunite with his old offensive coordinator Frank Reich. It seems Philadelphia got rid of their quarterback problem and can now go forward with the guy they selected in the second round last year in Jalen Hurts, or can they? It’s been reported the Eagles are still in the conversation of drafting a quarterback even after how awful last year went with two starting quarterbacks playing together. Sources say they don’t believe Jalen is fully ready and they still want competition for him. With that being said competition isn’t a bad thing, but when you just finally got your quarterback room to just one starter it probably isn’t smart to fill the room with more starting caliber quarterbacks.

Some mock drafts have the Eagles drafting Justin Fields out of Ohio State with the 6th overall pick to battle with Hurts. We’ll see when the draft comes around if they’re committed on putting a team around Jalen, or simply trying to make him have competition every year he’s in the league. Personally I believe Jalen can be special if the right team is around him, obviously so far the odds have been stacked against him.
