Another Exciting Saturday in College Football!
To kick the day off, the Oklahoma Sooners were hosting the West Virginia Mountaineers in Big 12 action. During the second quarter of the game, following QB Jalen Hurts’s 2-yard touchdown run, the famous Sooner Schooner tipped over after loosing its balance making a sharp left turn. The horses kept doing their job and ran for the hills or the tunnel in this case.

Gus Johnson makes the call even more epic. Another angle:

Normally, following every OU touchdown, the Sooner Schooner rides onto the field. Following some rain overnight in Norman, the field was still a little slippery, and players in today’s game have been shown slipping themselves.
This reminds me of the famous computer game, The Oregon Trail. Maybe the Sooner Schooner should’ve picked up a spare axle or a couple wagon tongues back at the last fort.
In all seriousness though, I hope those involved in the scary crash are okay. An OU spokesperson reported no injuries from the incident, though a camera operator was being medically checked.
