Most of the Big Ten and overall college football fans were disappointed over the conference’s decision to cancel the 2020 football season due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, but there is one key player who is not giving up on a season.

Ohio State University quarterback and (still) potential Heisman Trophy winner Justin Fields created a MoveOn.org petition captioned ‘#WeWantToPlay.’

The petition has been shared all over Twitter and has gathered over a reported 2,500 signatures in just a short amount of time.

This was as part of the #WeWantToPlay movement that went viral over social media just a couple week ago.

Like Fields, players and major figures such as Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Shaquille O’Neal, and even President Trump have shared tweets that had the same caption, pushing for conferences to not cancel sports, let alone football.

So far only two major conferences have cancelled football, and they are the Big Ten and the PAC 12.
