Since July 1st with NCAA’s new rule change came into an effect, Barstool Sports has been hot out of the gates signing athletes across all college sports. And it is reported that one Upper Peninsula university has seen their first signee to Barstool.

Posted on their new Athletics’s Twitter account, Northern Michigan University (NMU) hockey’s transfer forward Hank Crone has been signed to Barstool for their athlete endorsement deal.

Crone comes to NMU after spending his first two collegiate seasons at University of Denver in Colorado, where he earned NCHC Academic All-Conference Team and Distinguished Scholar-Athlete honors in the 2020-21 season.

By signing his endorsement deal, Crone will be allowed to get paid based on name, image, and likeness/playing ability.

Crone joins former NMU Wildcat forward Griffin Loughran on joining on the Barstool endorsement brand.
