As you may have heard earlier this summer, NetherRealm has some big plans for Mortal Kombat 11’s downloadable content. Along with the already released Shang Tsung, the company plans to bring some familiar faces to the forefront. These include the siren Sindel, as well as the comic book hero Spawn. But then there’s Nightwolf, who fans have yet to see a glimpse of.

But that changed today, as Ed Boon, creative director for the studio, provided a sneak peek of what to expect from the Native hero. Though the trailer is a little bit on the short side, it does provide a good look at what the hero can do with his hatchet, as he twirls it around before summoning the lightning. Plus, we’re totally digging his outfit and facial make-up, as he looks both traditional and ready to do battle with his enemies.

Now the real question is when we can expect his arrival. Well, more than likely, the next character in the line-up for Mortal Kombat 11 is due in August, though an official schedule has yet to be revealed. That said, someone new is pretty much expected any time now, and San Diego Comic Con IS happening at the moment, so we’ll have to see what happens over the next couple of days.

In the meantime, check out the mini-teaser below, and enjoy Mortal Kombat 11 now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch!
